winter tulips

I'm loving Kristybee's Nodding Violet Actions lately. If you use Photoshop, go check them out. They are subtle yet beautiful, and work well on many different images. I used Pink Cotton Candy here, and then added one of Sarah Gardner's textures called Shabby III.

les tulipes d'un certain age

Thought I'd take a break from the calla lilies today. Am I the only one who keeps tulips well beyond the time when they should be thrown out? I find them beautiful, even when they are past their prime -- yellowed, wrinkled and waving about fantastically.

I think it's the fantastically waving part that gets me. ;)
