Just carrying on with the reds here today -- it's been a nasty couple of days weather-wise, and I have bronchitis.
Woo-hoo!
It's amazing how a few tulips can brighten my home in this very cold and depressing week. I hope you are all well, and warm and dry. Have a happy day, my dear friends!
At this rate, by the end of the winter I'll have enough tulip photos to make a book. But don't worry, it snowed yesterday, so I'll probably have some snow pics for you tomorrow... lol
You had to know it wouldn't be long before I was back to posting flowers, right?
Especially in February. ;)
Thank you so much to everyone who visits here. It's wonderful to think that you are taking some time out of your busy day to come and look at my work. It truly means the world to me. So thank you!
(Oh, and say a prayer that the stinking groundhog sees his shadow, K?)
My wonderful husband gave me tulips and roses for my birthday. He knows that I love shooting them almost as much as I love carrying them around from room to room with me. :)
I've opened a new Etsy shop filled with my favorite vintage-inspired prints. To celebrate the shop opening, I'm holding a giveaway today on my decorating blog, Little Red House. Come on over and leave a comment there to enter.
Don't you love how transparent tulip petals can be? Lots of rain and even a little hail here yesterday. Just not nice outdoor shooting weather. I'll be taking pictures of my toes soon if the weather doesn't improve.
We've been having internet problems on and off for a few days now, so I'm very happy to have been able to post today. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend! :)
Sometimes Blogger just drives me nuts. When I went to check my comments a few minutes ago, I found ALL MY POSTS HAD DISAPPEARED!
I checked out Blogger Help and found that a lot of others had suffered the same fate. Someone suggested that publishing a new post would resolve the situation. So, here goes. Hope this works. :)
Edited to add: it seems to have worked. I can now once again view all my posts. That was a scary few minutes!
I feel like this blog has become all flowers, all the time. There hasn't been much in the way of decent landscape shots here lately. We are in a sort of in-between season. Winter, with it's beautiful snow and bright skies has fled for the time being, and we are left with brown, trampled grass and frozen mud. At least the days are getting longer, which is a blessing of sorts. This shot was taken in the fading light of late afternoon, but it was strong enough to capture the grace of this white tulip. Thank God for cut flowers, or I think I would go mad at this time of year. :)
I don't know about you, but for me the charm of winter has worn off. It always happens around this time of year -- the snow, the ice, the gray days. I just need some color. My husband brought me a big armload of tulips last week for my birthday.
So here's a little orange and purple happiness for you today. :)
