cherries

I love food photography. Maybe because I love food! Or maybe because, unlike the children that I have been photographing for my nascent business, food sits still while you fool with the dials on your camera. :)

At any rate, I have begun collecting some examples of beautiful food photography on my Pinterest account. Are you into Pinterest yet? It can be a giant time drain, but it is so wonderful. If you haven't been there yet, check it out!

left

There are just a few hips left on the wild roses. Soon, the new leaves will sprout, and another season will begin. I love the march of the seasons; but sometimes I think that winter is just a little too long and spring is just a little too short. :)

i need somebody...

This image was shot at my favorite park, Natirar, before the snows came this winter. I discovered it while trolling through my files early this morning. (What do you do when you can't sleep? I play with Photoshop.)

I ran a Florabella action on it, and added two textures -- one from Kim Klassen and one from Shadowhouse. And I was happy.

But then, I couldn't leave well enough alone, so I tried out a square crop and added a color fill layer. And now I can't decide which one I like better.

Help.

love

"Love is the emblem of eternity; it confounds all notion of time; effaces all memory of a beginning, all fear of an end."
Madame de Stael

Happy Valentine's Day, dear bloggers!

winter

It's winter at Natirar... and as beautiful as that can be, I feel as though I ought to be counting the days till spring... I guess I'm just not a winter person. :)
