Mary, I thought I remembered the curves of the tulip from a few days ago, and I scrolled back, so I could compare the two. I think in the b/w, you become more aware of the texture of the petals, much as I love that soft yellow colour! I like both shots, but for different reasons!

How many glasses of wine does your lens have to comsume before it can achieve this kind of soft focus? Or is it the vintage that makes it mellow?

This is gorgeous! Love flowers in b&w and this is perfection.
lovely. it's even better in black and white although the color version is quite nice
