Flowers in the Grass

Just a little respite from the black & whites.  :)

We went for a walk at my favorite park yesterday.  It was a little hot for April (90's) but the sky was a wonderful shade of blue, and the grass was carpeted with violets and bloodroot.  Click on the photo to enlarge it so you can see the pretty flowers in the grass.

Here is a link to the same view, taken in the winter.  To see another part of this beautiful park, click here.

I think I prefer it in spring.  ;)

That's a lovely spot. I've been enchanted by the pretty flower carpeted expanses of grass in my area too, although our temperatures are significantly cooler.

We had a hot one too! The beaches were packed. I really like your landscapes.

Both are beautiful but after a long weary winter I can say for the moment I also prefer the one from Spring.

We've had a few hot days as well. Today is beautiful a little warm, but tomorrow is supposed to be really hot again.

So beautiful, the green and gold haze on the trees this time of year.

That's a beautiful park and your image shows it realistically.

It is nice to see such beauty in nature with these greens... ours is slowly coming around. Another snowfall yesterday makes things a little depressing but I have faith that Spring is just around the corner.

You are so right! I also prefer it in the springtime. I keep telling myself, all winter, that without the winter, I would not appreciate the spring so much, but I am never sure I believe myself!
