winter dreams



I promised you supermarket flowers, didn't I? White carnations, with the faint scent of cloves. Can you smell them? ;)

I love carnations Mary. This image is incredible! Yes, I can smell them. Granddad always gave his daughters and granddaughters carnation corsages at Easter. I could never forget the smell of carnations. A happy memory from childhood.

You said at 'dear little red house' that carnations seem so ordinary and I know what you mean. It's why I picked up those roses but, honestly, the roses are the ordinary ones and I'm still remembering the pretty and delicate carnations....and wishing that I had them. =] Next time.... ;)
