i will survive

"Everything is blooming most recklessly; if it were voices instead of colors, there would be an unbelievable shrieking into the heart of the night."
~Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters of Rainer Maria Rilke

There is a frantic nature to spring as it advances -- rain and warmth beget bloom after bloom, until it seems as if the entire world is bursting with color. And in the middle of it all, this tiny fritillary popped up in my garden. It almost seems too delicate to survive the onslaught... :)

We must be kindred spirits...I just copied that quote in my notebook to use on my blog when my crabapple tree is in full bloom:) What a wonderful declaration of spring...and May!

Oh, Mary.... (I say that a lot, don't I?) This makes me think and I am learning but I really, at the moment, need to go clean house. My parents are arriving from CA, tomorrow. I'll be back!

Of course, it's a beautiful work of art - your photo.

Love ya....

Yes! It was so slow coming, but now it's a riot going on out there. I love it.
