les tulipes d'un certain age

Thought I'd take a break from the calla lilies today. Am I the only one who keeps tulips well beyond the time when they should be thrown out? I find them beautiful, even when they are past their prime -- yellowed, wrinkled and waving about fantastically.

I think it's the fantastically waving part that gets me. ;)

You are not the only one ;-) I love how they change their colour and then some open up and some wrinkle and they are so beautiful in every stage! I love your photos!

A stunning image, Mary. You're not the only one who keeps tulips – I love the silky texture the petals take on! xo – g
