trying to stay cool

I know that I promised (threatened?) to show you all my zinnia pics, but I'm loving this columbine right now. I have it on the deck in a pot, as the only time I've tried to grow it in the garden, the deer ate it the very same day I planted it.

Aaaarrrgh!

I hope at least some of you are experiencing mild weather. Here in New Jersey, we are in the middle of a tremendous heat wave -- in the high 90's for the past few days and on through out the coming week. The forecast for tomorrow is 100. Whoopty-friggen-do.

This is why I love you. First for your photography. And secondly, for that last few words. Priceless!

Hang in there, Mary! It's horrifically hot and extremely dry, here, too! Do you have air conditioning, perchance??? I was thinking that I needed to go shopping and just go live in the bookstore or something!

Love, katy

Oh Mary, I thought we were hot, but I am afraid you have beat us. Hopefully it will not last long. Nice macro shot.
