These are wild blackberry bushes growing at the edge of our lawn. It always amazes me that the setting sun can make something quite ordinary, ugly even, into something quite extraordinary. :)

I usually think of brambles as horrible things (unless, of course, they have blackberries!) But I think for the first time I've noticed their crisp architecture and deep green colouring. Hmm - I must closely at them when I next see them!
