OK, I'm ready to admit that the snow can be pretty at times, and I've had a lot of fun playing with vintage actions in Photoshop... but I think I'd like to see some green shoots poking out of the ground already.
I hate to tell you this, but we have lots of sprouting plants and the cherry blossoms have even started to bloom here...maybe you've seen it on tv...I'm in Vancouver, home of the Winter Olympics.
Erin, I use CS3. For this photo, I adjusted the curves a little to brighten it, then ran an action called Vintage Wine from Florabella Collections. The link is in my sidebar. I think I also added a slight edge burn.
We finally have green poking through the soil. But wish I would have been able to take some snow pictures from our backyard this year, it's so beautiful!
All your photos are wonderful! You make winter look beautiful.
I totally agree ~ while winter makes for some great pictures ~ a person starts wanting a little green here and there! But as I live in Southwest Saskatchewan, Canada, I suspect I won't be seeing green for awhile here. :)

The 'green' is right around the corner. Good to enjoy the snow while it is still white and pretty. Love the sepia-toned timeless processing.
unlikely that it will happen today, but soon.
Wow, nice backyard.

gorgeous shot!
Beautiful... what version of Photoshop do you use? I have CS2, and would love to have an "antique filter" :)

Hope this helps. :)
How beautiful, Mary. The green won't come until we need it more than anything we've ever needed before. That's when it always comes, isn't it?

Lovely...and I saw a bluebird today, who said that spring is on it's way....chin up!
