Twenty degrees and snowy, wind howling strong. Not exactly bench-sitting weather, eh? :)

so beautiful and stark. i love winter images, so monochromatic and a bit somber.
....This inviting bench makes even the most "freezing" winter day much more beautiful....!...Let's take a thick, warm blanket and sit down just for a few moments!?
Have a wonderful day, Mary!
ciao ciao elvira
Love the compostition! Do you ever shoot film...B/W? Would be interesting to compare the same shot in film...just call me old fashioned...smiles.
Ellen, I haven't shot film in years! This is actually a color shot, processed with a PS action from Red Leaf Studios called Palatine. It was pretty monochromatic to begin with, though. :)
And old-fashioned is nice!
How exquisite and wintery, Mary! I love the graphic elements of the dark and light. Oh, my, sounds like you are having some dramatic weather. No snow for us this holiday season, which I'm actually happy about. Since seldom have it, most people forget how to drive and it's chaos! A very happy start to the new year to you. :) – g
No ... it's not, but the view is delightful from a virtual distance ;-)
Hugs and blessings,
Brrrr...but beautiful!
Oh I LOVE this! Wonderful shot!

This is my kind of picture. I am attracted to scenes like this. Beautiful.
Love the cold starkness. Well done!
See? This is what happens when I take a night off. I miss so much.
