I hope everyone had a happy holiday. It started raining here in New Jersey on Christmas eve, and didn't let up till very early morning on the 26th. All the snow is gone, and lawns look surprisingly green for the end of December.
I'm slowly getting back to taking pictures again, after the rush of preparations for Christmas. I'm not really looking forward to January and February, but I just keep telling myself that the days are getting a little longer every day. :)

Hi Mary
Lovely photograph of the raindrops. I have a new camera so must try that!! We still have rain here in the UK, all the snow has gone, thank goodness.
I have a few photographs on my blog of places we visited over Christmas, enjoy.

Best wishes to you and your family for 2010. Jackie in UK
It is beautiful photo, we also got the rain which washed all the snow away. I am looking forward to spring now. I wish you and your family all the best in 2010. Happy New Years.
I've been missing you. Glad you're getting back into the swing of things.
I'm with you. I'm so ready for spring already. Happy New Year.
Longer but definitely not warmer.
I know what you mean about the photographs ... I've been very slack too, feeling rather uninspired. The new year will surely bring us back around to what we love so much. You have to find something to do in all that cold weather!
This is so beautiful.
My feelings exactly, Mary - but we have to weather the next two months, don't we.
gorgeous shot - I tell myself that too...and we get a blue moon this week! how cool is that?
what an elegant slant to those branches...i love your photography
Your photos are absolutely magnificent. I wonder whether I will ever reach that stage.
How gorgeous!
Happy New Year Mary!
Cheers
Just stumbled across your blog and thought this photograph was beautiful. I shall be popping back.
Thanks, everyone! How nice to hear from you all again. I feel like I've been away forever.
Welcome, Victoria. I look forward to visiting you, too. Karin, I've had LOTS of practice. :) Thank you so much!

Gorgeous, gorgeous image. Love it!
I always think it's important to have something lovely to look forward to in January or February. Otherwise the dark months drag. So what are you looking forward to, Mary? :)
Really beautiful--I am glad that I found you thru My New England Life--I love photography blogs, and yours looks to be a beautiful way to while away a few free moments of my day!
I love how you take the simple things and make them look so beautiful.
I really love the raindrops, and the way they make the background so bubbly without detracting from the branch!!!
Thanks everyone, and welcome, Allison! So nice to "meet" you. :)
Exquisite, Mary, just the right mood for the end of the year. I'm so sorry your snow got washed away. I'm looking forward to spring, too, although it's very mild here right now. I'm afraid our daffodils might show up too early! Very Happy New Year! – g
What a photo! I love macros of raindrops on tree limbs. You are a superb photographer.
Beautiful Bokeh!!!!!!! I need to get my new camera back from my son, so I can play with it too!!
