This is from my archives, taken last December. We had some lovely mist here on Sunday, but I didn't have a chance to shoot. We were busy cutting our Christmas tree in the rain.
It's amazing how cold rain down the back of your neck focuses the mind. We chose the tree in record time! :)

I'm glad y'all got a good Christmas tree. Rain on Christmas-tree-picking-day has exactly the opposite effect on my family. None of us wants to pick a lame Christmas tree just to get out of the rain, so we all just get cranky in the rain and quarrel over it for ages before deciding. :\
LOL it would focus me too. :)
beautiful shot
Ok Mary I see a pattern here, you are going to have to get out on a sunny day for a change. Just kidding... It's nice to see someone who has discovered the beauty in an
unconventional day. Fog mist rain and snow can change a simple landscape to something magical and unexpected. Well done.
It's strange how these days can be labeled "depressing." But, to a photographer they are divine! This is another of your fabulous captures. Enjoy your Christmas tree this season!
That is lovely ...
** please help me find a home for the boys .. stop by my blog and mention them on yours **
I'm glad you resurrected this one - it is divine! Happy holidays! Xxoo
wow...what a beautiful area you live in.
Oh, yes. This looks bone chillin'!
We had some nice fog/mist here yesterday morning and it about killed me not being able to photograph it. Darn work.
Beautiful Mary.
it's five in the morning. the dog woke me and insisted that she needed a walk. i pulled on some warm clothes, boots and a coat and headed out. very cold but beautiful. winter can be spectacular. i just wish it wasn't spectacular for so long.
simple beauty! I love the way you capture God's creative seasons. Very moving.
Dark and haunting. Very beautiful!
Lovely winter scene, again.
