These will probably be the last of my dahlias this year, as it's getting pretty cold at night. It has been in the 40's for the past two nights. Already, I'm planning on planting more next year, but I've got to make sure I stake them. :)
Thanks so much, Gayle! Actually, you guys are doing me a great favor -- I'd drive my family nuts if I was showing all these pics to them every day. lol
Your family must be related to my family - they are much happier since I got the blog, and show my photos to the world and leave them alone! I love this photo! The vase is delicate, as are the dahlias! very undahlia-like, in fact! Maybe I should actually PLANT some dahlais next year, rather than relyingon other people to do the work...
Just gorgeous, Mary! I love how you've integrated the dahlias with the colors of the trays in this series. Unusual and so beautiful. It's cooling down here, too, although we still have so many roses! :) – g

I just love pink and aqua together... I love these dahlia's Mary--they look a bit like spider mums! :o)
Mary, this is like gazing at a beautiful watercolor painting, the colors and composition are masterful.
Nancy, thank you so much -- coming from such a wonderful artist, that is such a great compliment!
Judy, these were so easy to grow -- you really should try them. :)
Thanks everyone!
Dahlias and mums, the showy decorative ones like this, always make me think of laldies in flowing kimonos...
