I took this photo last spring, at the Great Swamp. Sometimes when I'm in a creative mood, I go back through my archives to find a photo that might benefit from a little Photoshop magic.
This one was definitely improved with the addition of a few textures.
I'd like to learn how to add one of the frames that came with the Florabella textures. Does anyone know how to do that? I can't seem to figure it out. I'd be grateful if someone could point me toward a good tutorial... :)

Mary, I need to know more about these textures. Did you buy them and if so where. Your photograph is lovely. Is the Great Swamp near Green Village, NJ?
Carol, here is a link to Shana Rae's site, where you can purchase her Florabella textures.

Do you have Photoshop?
Yes, the Great Swamp is near Green Village, NJ. Are you familiar with the area?
Love this shot and your added textures. Looks like something shot in China to me.
Great photo Mary, I love the texture It is lovely that I can see these places as I will probably never visit them,
thank you for sharing.
I have a programme "Virtual painter classic" which can change photographs into watercolours, Oils etc...I have great fun playing with that!!It comes with 20 textures as well but I have never tried using them, maybe one Winters day.....

Open the frame and open your shot. Insert of adding the texture to your shot - add your shot to the frame. Or that's how I do it. Make sure the image sizes are compatible.
I looked back to last year's shots this weekend too. Amazing the changes that can be made.
I don't know the first thing about it, but I sure am an appreciator! This is a wonderful photo, draws me into a complete other world!
What a lovely affect. It looks like a wonderful old painting.
Sunny :)
i love this.
maybe i will have to look into getting, a few textures.
this photo is beautiful.

Wow...that is just beautiful! I love to go through and find photos that can be played with. Since I learned to add textures, my creative world just opened up too...
I'm not a big fan of the frames that came with the Florabella textures, but will have to give them a second look. I checked Shana Rae's blog and searched for keywords for the frames but didn't see anything. You should write her, Mary! She seems so nice.
Oh, and btw, this print is a work of art.
Mary, this is gorgeous! Have I seen this on flickr? the texture is just beautiful on this.
Loving your blog on a daily basis. So inspiring.
Lovely!...I can't wait to get Photoshop to play ...
Oh Mary-- this is stunning.
Like you i really enjoy her textures but can quite get the hang of the frames eitehr.

Love the mood you've created with the texture overlay. Reminds me of an oilpainting.

The new textures do SOOOOOO much for this photo!!! I love it!! And I can totally see it on a wall somewhere!!!
Nice work. Personally, I would have lowered a little bit the opacity of the texture expecially on the water so the rain fallin into the water be more visible.
I've enjoyed each of your beautiful flower photos here and am in love with what you've done to this one. I play a bit with filters in Photoshop after creating my mosaics, but I've not done much to individual photos. Methinks you're inspired me to do some exploration too.
Hugs and blessings,
Oh my goodness, I love the Florabella textures. Thanks for the information. I will hop on over and check this site out. You are an amazing photographer!
