We have been having such beautiful morning mists this week. I was up early yesterday, and decided to take my camera over to the Great Swamp, to catch the sun through the mist. If you click on the image to enlarge it, you can see the drops of amber colored water that look like jewels, suspended between the petals of this wildflower that has gone to seed.

I love this one. It does look like jewels. Very nice.
Mary, I thought the photo was lovely in the small version, but I enlarged it and simply gasped with the beauty of it!! Spiderwebbing, and dewdrops, and sunlight!! How can something with such an ugly name (cow parsnip - a lot of people have contact dermatitis from it) be so beautiful?!?!
Judy, thanks so much, and thanks for putting a name to it, too. I didn't know what it was, and I'm happy to say that I did not touch it. :)
The enlarged version is stunning...the dew drop and old spider web glisten! This is a beautiful photograph!
Hi Mary, WOW! you take beautiful photos. Thanks for your thoughtful comment... it brought a smile to my face.
Liquid drops of amber - the droplets hold the sunlight so beautifully!
Thank you! Have a wonderful weekend...smiles.
This is an abosolutely gorgeous photo!
They truly do look like jewels, Mary! I love this misty, backlit morning series of yours! :) – g
