I have no idea what these tiny pink flowers are called. The stems look like some sort of grass, and they pop up along with the weeds in my garden. They are so bright and cheerful, though, so I leave them where they grow.
I love weeding. There's just something about getting down and dirty and having the knees of my jeans stained completely with dirt. It's just so rewarding.
We have them here, too, in Ontario! I have wondered about them, but they are too small for me to get a good photo, so I am delighted that you have managed!!!

Lovin' this shot Mary! And I think the flower is called a Deptford Pink.

I am totally lying.
Why would anyone grow grass, if they can grow something as beautiful as this? A wonderful photo.
I wouldn't weed this lovely blossom out of the garden either!
Weeding is highly over rated. Love that little pink flower... (I knew Kate was lying to you...)
I think it's lovely. I'd leave it to grow, as well.
Lovely photo! It's a Deptford Pink (Dianthus armeria) - we have them in Missouri too and I love them.
I love the way you ladies think about weeding!!!! It is pretty - I would leave it too.
Beautiful little flower. How could something so precious be a weed. I'd keep it too.
So delicate and pretty!
this photo and quote hit me right in the heart. you are so lovely, friend.
xo
Kate, you crack me up. :)
Someone already told you, but it is called a Pink, perfect, huh? We have them in San Diego, too. Love, LOVE your blog. Thanks for it.
Gayle
I couldn't 'weed' that out either. Some of the best things that turn up in my yard a wind-sown!
Indeed. I have lots of these "weeds" and i tend to let them grow... Let me know if you figure out what they are!
Tiny but beautiful. Barbara
Sometimes I feel like that little weed. :)
