I've been spending way too much time playing with the colors and header here today... I'm still not sure I like the background color, so maybe I'll take another crack at it tomorrow.
I'm not sure either, although I like the color and it goes with your cool new header. Maybe it's the spacing. Your header has a ton of space around it. Keep playing! I think you're on the right track! Reminds me that I wanted to change up my own header. I love what you did to yours.
I love this color, I tried it out recently, but......it didn't work with my blog layout as well as it does yours. Guess I will have to just paint a bedroom this color.
i so envy you having the time to explore different textures and colors and taking your photography to a different level. for me, the time i have to spend on blogging and creating and exploring is very limited. hence my blog suffers and my photography basically is BLAH.
I completely understand the countless hours fiddling around with changing your blog. I've been guilty of that one. I personally like a lighter colored background because it makes it easier to read and lets your photos stand out more. Just my opinion though :) because it could also just be I'm old and don't have very good vision!
if time is to be wasted, then this is the beautiful way to do it, my friend. ; ) if you get a chance, can you stop by? i think you might be the one to help me. email if you would like. i would be so grateful. xo
We all should have our blog, exactly as it feels right to us. That said, I often ask others to tell me things about my blog - as seen on their computer. So... If I may...
The background blue is too deep, to convey your "In A Soft Light" feeling.
But then again, I never like much blue, so perhaps I could be prejudiced.
But.... Due to the season, you're photos have a common color theme of green. Does this blue clash with this? Would a lighter shade of this blue, be better with Winter photos? Which have a cooler feel?
I'm actually in love with this color blue, but I'm still trying different colors... Because I spent so much time on the header, I don't want to scrap it yet, and the blue does seem to me to complement the greens in my photos. Of course, once fall comes, I'll be processing with lots of faded browns and vintage-y colors, so I'm sure I'll have to change then...
But for now, I think I'll leave it as is, if only because I have lots of things to get done other than blogging. lol :)

beautiful shot. I've gone back and forth with color and no color on my blog too. I'm undecided.
I really like this image. There's a soft, ethereal quality to it that's very attractive.
Love the periwinkle blue. So refreshing..and soft. Wonderful image!!!
Kate, I think I have to change the size of the header wrapper for that but I'm not having any luck with it...
I did try making a bigger header, but was unsuccessful at that, too.
Think I'll leave it that way for now... :)

I immediately liked your new look! I didn't even know you could use slides in the header. Great!
Oh and Erin, your photography is NOT blah! You have such a wonderful sense of composition and color!
