Tired

It's the end of August -- officially my "I'm getting tired of gardening" time. Everything begins to look so bedraggled. The black-eyed susans are still going strong in their pots on the deck, though, so all is not lost.

Is it possible that I'm looking forward to autumn?

Well, maybe... How about you?

My flowers are starting to look tired. It's a lot of hard work, I'm tired of fighting the weeds!

And - it's feeling very autumnal this morning..a welcome respite after these past few weeks of extreme heat and humidity. Love the colors and textures.

Autumn is certainly coming, but I am willing to wait for it. Maybe because I have not been fighting the weeds very hard...

You certainly have given us a "fresh" look at the black eyed susan. Your image doesn't look "tired."

I enjoy EACH season for the unique beauty provided us. Autumn is just around the corner! ;)

No! I'll be going into autumn kicking & screaming. Or maybe that's winter...anyway, I get very sad when summer starts to wan.

Perhaps it's a remnant from my student days, but autumn always feels like the beginning to me. And I love the cooler weather.

Autumn is my fAVORITE! I call it the "Ahhh of Fall!" (& blogged about it recently)...cruncy leaves, football games, hiking boots, barn coats, rosy cheeks, whats not to love?

I am definitely looking forward to autumn. A lot of us are.

It's one of my favorite times of the year. it's always good to know I'm not alone in my beliefs!

I'm hanging onto summer as long as possible here in the Rocky Mountains of CO - fall lasts 2 seconds and then it's the long winter again.
