Soft swirly pink petals -- my absolute fave! I actually grew this dahlia all by myself, which is something of a triumph, considering the fact that the tubers sat for a whole year in a plastic bag on our unheated porch.
Yes, I have a slight problem with procrastination. lol
Enjoy your weekend, dear bloggers!

Oh, that is delicious! And even sweeter knowing you grew it (obviously that year long hold-out intensified the deliciousness potency ... ;-)
lovely -- just lovely
Gorgeous!
Sunny :)
That tender shade of pink is sensational! Dahlias are growing on me...I like the flowers a lot, but don't care much for the foliage--LOL! Happy weekend, Mary :O)
You mean there is hope for the dahlias sitting in the corner of my kitchen, which have not seen the earth in more than a year? (Ok, so not grammatically correst! You understand what I mean)
But I love the photo!! Soft swirly is such an accurate description!!
Looks like tissue paper - so very delicate. Love the detail you captured.
Mary, you seriously should consider printing your images in a large format and speaking to galleries about hosting an exhibition of your work, if you haven't already.
I'm grateful to have the opportunity to view your beautiful imagery on a daily basis.
Blessings,
Carolynn

My late father used to grow dozens of them, and proudly display afterwards. Your photo reminded me his happy face..
