A Secret Place

This stream is down the road from our house. We used to take the kids here when they were little, to throw rocks in the water. With all the rain we've gotten over the past month, I'm surprised it isn't higher. But no matter, it's the reflection I was after, and that "secret garden" feeling.

And because I'm feeling all Hallmark today, I'll leave you with this wish: May you find that "secret place" today, dear bloggers. The place where you can be still, and look into your heart. :)

Thanks, Mary. I hope I can find that.
This brought back memories of taking walks on one of the horse farms we lived when the boys were small. We had a secret stream we went to and let the boys play along the edge.
Wow. That just flooded my senses with all sorts of feelings . . .

This looks like the stream that we had running down near our house in Vermont when I was a kid. We'd build dams, stow stones in the water. We didn't need video games back then.

I love finding little nooks such at these in the mountains here... it's so refreshing. A little oasis for sure!

So peaceful. I can see why it's your go-to-place when you need to find quiet. Especially love the reflections. Beautiful image!

Lovely. I wouldn't mind sitting there for a few hours, especially if I had a camera and a sketchbook.

It's amazing how you focused in on the closest leaves, yet, somehow didn't lose anything in the background. A bit surreal...
