I wish you could smell this post. These wild roses are amazing! Every year, they bloom around the first week in June, perfuming the air with a wonderful tea rose scent. The flowers are tiny, but they pack quite a punch. :)
Such a beautiful photograph. I call these wild beach roses as they grow along the beaches here. They do smell better than any other rose out there. And, they are wild..meaning not to be tamed.. as you will see if you try to cut them and fit them into a vase.
I wish I could smell this post too. They look gorgeous. Never underestimate the power of small. I may be quoting Piglet for something he may have said in the Book of Te. :o)
They sure do. One of my favorites. And I think you're 2 weeks (at least) behind us. I can still smell them, though. If it would only stop raining . . .

I think the wild ones are the best! Beautiful picture.
I have never seen a white wild rose. Out here in Oregon they are always pink. But, as your white ones, they are exceedingly fragrant.
I haven't been in my own garden in a few days ... may gather the strength to venture out and see what's happening. Thanks for the inspiration.
*inhales* I can almost smell it here

WE have some of these growing on the side of the driveway....they do smell heavenly!
