Snowfall

I love walking outside when the pear trees are in bloom.  With every breeze, the white petals float slowly to the ground like some fragrant and magical snowfall.

Have I told you how much I love spring?  ;)

Sometimes, that's as close as we come to snowfall here. It is lovely.

Oh I love that also. I may even get over to the apple orchards to see if they are blossoming yet. It's like being in a magical fairy land.

Aren't those beautiful. The same thing happens around here with the cherry trees, only the 'snow' is pink. I was commenting to my friend the other day, that we live in a pink city. There are so many cherry trees and other flowering plants that appear in the spring and most of them are pink. Nothin' wrong with that! And, it's a nice change from the grey days of winter.

Have a great Friday.

Oh, the pear tree blossoms are my weakness. Ours are gone now, replaced by cherry laurel blooms, teeny insect-like flowers falling from the trees. My favorite time of year is when the flowers fall from trees.

I once stood under the crooked 'Van Gogh' branches of one of these when the petals all showered down. It remains one of the peak experiences of my life!
