What a beautiful photo. I love forsythia. My cousin used to call it For Cynthia and I have taken to calling it that as well. I'm always so happy to see it blossoming. One of the first bright yellow's of the season. I have been to Emily Dickenson's house in Amherst, MA...it was a long time ago though and I hardly remember it.
From what I've seen lately, you've turned the corner, Mary. Instead of taking pictures you're conveying your feelings about your subject matter. The white rose is wonderful and your scenery edited with PS, well it's something else.
love the softness of this photograph, caught you on shuttter sister and you are right about shooting what you know. peace n abundance CheyAnne @ http://newmexicomtngirl.com

Sweet forsythia!! Isn't it great to see them blooming? Love the detail and color and background bokeh.
Gorgeous shot! I think I need to find a corner of my yard to plant one of my own.
