So simple and so lovely. The bokeh enhances the beauty.
The bokeh is breathtaking, Mary. I was going to say bitchin' but you know how refined I am.
Mary, that is beautiful. what does "bokeh" mean? I've never heard that word before. Is it the dots in the pic? How did you do that? so many questions, so little time. hugs, Cheryl in IN (Whosyergurl)
gorgeous circles of confusion!!! with the overcast skies for me it's been elusive. a beautiful capture.
That is a wonderful and unique picture of raindrops.
yes!! that is exactly what it looks like after the rain - all diamondy and clean!!
I love this one. It makes me want to be there to see the whole picture!
Cheryl,Yes, the little dots in the background are called bokeh. They are caused by points of light in the background of a photo -- in this case, drops of water in the branches that are catching the light. The lens is narrowly focused on the foreground (a shallow depth of field) to create the effect. You can get this effect using a macro lens, a long telephoto lens or a medium telephoto lens and a wide aperture. The word itself comes from a Japanese word for blurred or fuzzy.Does that make sense? Hope it answers your questions. :)
I stumbled upon your blog...Beautiful bokey!!! Lovely!
Ooops...fingers aren't awake yet!I meant beautiful bokeh!!
Always a favorite, and this, with the globes in the background, is particularly appealing! Have a great keedken there, too!
You do have such beautiful images.
I love the dotty effect in the background. Very playful.
