The Road

Sometimes, the road we follow leads us to unexpected places.  Posting a photo of my home on HGTV's Rate My Space led me to discover decorating blogs, which in turn led me to start my own.  Blogging daily awakened me to the joy of photography, and to start this photography blog.

In the past year, I have had one of my photos published in a national magazine, sold my own photo notecards, had two photos chosen for a coffee table book of New Jersey, and another one included in a web guide to Philadelphia.

No one is more amazed at all this than I am.  But I am loving where this road has taken me, and I can't wait to see what is next on this journey.  :)

Finally, here is a link to a terrific list of online resources for photographers.  Go check it out if you get a chance.

Congrats! You do wonderful work.

My assignment work has come about in a similar manner rather by happenstance than by me actively pursuing it. Like you said, you just never know who might be looking.

Congratulations on your sucessful photographic journey.
When we start seeing a story rather than a picture, we all become Nat. Gegraphic photographers. The beauty of digital is that we can affortd to take as many photos as we like.
