Skywatch Friday: Quietly

Henry David Thoreau called the mist a "drifting meadow of the air."  An early morning mist blankets a park near my home earlier this week.  I love how it descends quietly to shroud the trees.  It's beginning to feel like autumn here in New Jersey.  Happy Skywatch Friday.  :)

Such a thick and beautiful fog. It could inspire Bon Jovi to create another megasuperhyper ballad.

I love a good mist. It's so mysterious (no pun intended) and makes you wonder what could be lurking inside. Fun shot.
*hugs*

The opening scene for a mystery movie!

Fog always reminds me of Carl Sandburg -'The fog comes in on little cat feet' - must have been a big cat in this case. :)

Beautiful!

Beautiful photo for sky watch friday, like your choice of quotes to go with it. Fog and mist can be tricky to catch at their best in a photo but yours is really well done. Thanks for sharing with sky watch friday, spent some time on your other blog today as well, very inspiring.

Quiet beauty...I like the unclutteredness of this photo. I don't think uncluttered is a word, but you know what I mean.

Isn't it lovely walking in the foggy, foggy dew! There is something magical about a good thick fog, it dampens yet multiplies sounds in quite a disturbing way.

I think this is a perfect illustration for thoreau

I really like this. I like fog and it just fascinates me even though I hate being in it. This is a great shot.
