Skywatch Friday: Setting Moon

This shot of the setting moon was taken back in the spring.  It seems like I am always seeing Skywatch shots while driving.  Then I have to hurry home and grab the camera.  Please visit all the other wonderful photographers at Skywatch Friday.

The moon is beautiful through the trees. I have a similar shot I'm saving for when my weather feels like it needs to be up. You need to take your camera with you everywhere! (As if I always do!)

To see that tiny moon set in this context, Mary, is magical. So tiny but so powerful. A good lesson!

You really do have a knack for soft light. Simply beautiful!

I can't believe we both posted moons. Ah, great minds . . .

Gorgeous!

I know this is terrible, but at sunrise and sunset - especially - I drive with the camera on my lap and ready. And I have started using the camera bag as my purse/diaper bag! So I never leave without it! Is that bad, or what?!

Oh this is simply beautiful, I can feel all the peace and calm from here. Goes to show you never know when great photos or skies will sneak up on you all you have to do is take a moment to notice the beauty that is around us every day.

That is very striking shot of the moon. I can never get them, my camera is not strong enough. :)

There are often occassions where I too look at a particular scene of teh sky and think 'now that would make a good sky watch shot' and immediately realize that I do not have my camera with me.

This is a good capture.
Thanks for dropping by and greetings from Sri Lanka!

What a perfect shot with the moon behind that delicate lace work of twigs. Satisfying and peaceful and somehow whispering of peace.
