Yes, I know it's really pokeweed, but I like to think of it as the preppy plant because of the lime green and hot pink colors. Isn't it just too Lilly Pulitzer for words? :)
I took some pictures of this plant a few weeks ago. I loved the color combination and how it looked like green pumpkins on a pink vine. Now I know what it is. I had never seen it before I took a pic of it.
I have been photographing these all week. Some green and some already turned. They are just begging to be photographed. You did good, you even almost had me convinced your photo was something else.
what a perky plant color! it draws so much attention to itself...the better for bees and hummingbirds to see perhaps? love the little bit of bloom on the end. good capture!

Oh, how gorgeous!
Love the color!
Great title! There's no one who understands preppy pink and green like us New Englanders!
Lily would be impressed :)
Hey, I was just wondering yesterday what the name of this plant was. Thanks :)
LOL, clever title! Lovely photo!
Except for the leaf decay, it could almost look artificial. Great color!

I'll admit I had to go look up Lilly Pulitzer. Now I get it.
:-)
Gosh, I used to wear those colors in high school. I preferred izod. : )
This photo is much prettier than my pink and green days. : )
I have never seen poke looking so spiffy!
Love the previous photo, too. The tiny white flowers. So delicate.
Both EXCELLENT photography jobs!
Such beauty it makes me smile.
