The coneflowers are still blooming, although they are beginning to look a little faded. Frankly, we had all begun to feel a little faded with last week's heat. But now there is just the slightest respite from the humidity, and the days are getting shorter. Fall is coming. I love anticipating the seasons.

This morning, I can feel autumn in the air. It's chilly outside! George wants his walk and I'm going to wear a long-sleeved shirt. Excellent! Love your pics, Mary.
I know what you mean about the summer heat! A cold front has descended on Connecticut from Canada, and it promises autumn.
Your coneflowers are beautiful.
Ah, coneflowers (Echinacea) have always been my favorites... despite their weary look, you have still managed to pull off some awesome shots!!! Fantastic! =)
very nice blog I will read you in the future-and in my present post also smell the autumn. I like autumn and the leaves rustle under Footing and I simply love gold autumn
Oh how beautiful they are. I don't think they are fading, I think I can smell them over here : )
You have a beautiful blog : )
Beautiful coneflowers. Some of my favorite and your image is exceptional.
I LOVE this shot!!! There is beautiful movement because my eye follows the flowers almost as if it is one flower kind of dancing. Great color and light too.
I have alot of purple coneflowers and went they are spent I cut them back and get another showing. I am on my third showing this season.
Love your photos, I'm trying to learn to take better photos.
